Title: Armed Robbery
On Tuesday evening, January 14th, at 9:19pm Attleboro Police responded to the South Avenue Shell gas station for the report of an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, investigators learned the lone Caucasian male suspect entered the store and handed the cashier a note demanding cash. After the robbery, the suspect fled toward the rear of the store. A perimeter was secured and a search was conducted with the assistance of Massachusetts State Police K-9 Unit however the suspect was able to elude police.
During the robbery, the suspect threatened that he had a firearm however one was not shown.
The male is described as being 5-5” to 5’7” tall and his age was estimated to be in his 50’s. The male was described as thin build and had a mustache and eyeglasses. He was wearing a grey sweatshirt and dark colored pants, brown work boots and a black hat.
The incident remains under investigation by Detective Steven Beaudet. Photographs of the suspect are being circulated to the public through the media in hopes someone will be able to identify him.
