On Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 8:31 a.m. Attleboro Police and Fire Departments responded to the commuter rail tracks near the Peck Street overpass for the report of a body alongside the tracks. The incident was reported by a passing train engineer.
Upon arrival, investigators located the body of a middle-aged female. The female appeared to have suffered from injuries consistent with being struck by a train. Investigation thus far suggests the female was walking on the tracks when struck.
The female was known to Attleboro Police however her identity is not being released at this time as family had not been completely notified.
As of this time, the investigation is ongoing by (Attleboro PD) Detective Steven Beaudet, Trooper Zachary Johnson of the Bristol County District Attorney’s office, investigators from the M.B.T.A. and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
